Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has outlined which contract extension Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes should focus on first this summer, ahead of a big few months at Anfield.
As it stands, both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are set to be out of contract in 2025, though neither should be allowed to leave just yet.
"I actually think the more important signing to keep is Van Dijk," Murphy said on talkSPORT.
"I know that sounds a bit silly because of Salah’s goals, but Liverpool don’t struggle to make chances.
"They have obviously in the recent month to six weeks struggled to convert them, of course, we know that, but they don’t struggle to make chances.
I think Van Dijk going would be a bigger blow than Salah, in my opinion."

After Liverpool beat Spurs 4-3 over the weekend, Van Dijk offered the biggest hint yet that he expects to stay with the Reds beyond the end of his current deal.
"There will be a big transition and I am part of that," Van Dijk told reporters, via the BBC.
"I think the club is very much busy with who is going to be the new manager and that is the main focus.
It's a big part of my life already, and that is all I can say."
Liverpool.com says: It is understandable that Murphy might think Van Dijk is more important to tie down, because there are more quality forwards out there than center-backs.
