Despite being Liverpool's record signing at £85million, Nunez's form has dipped and it appears that manager Arne Slot is ready to let him go, with a move to the Middle East looking increasingly likely.

Liverpool have prioritised bolstering their forward line this summer, a move that has affected Nunez's position at Anfield.

The Reds have already secured the services of Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt for £79 million, who will join forces with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and new recruit Florian Wirtz.

Now, Liverpool have set their sights on Alexander Isak, who is reportedly keen to leave Newcastle United.

Despite having an initial £110 million bid rejected by the Magpies, Liverpool may return with an improved offer if Isak pushes for a move.
