Darwin Nunez has found the net in the Saudi Pro League for the first time.

The 26-year-old keeps up his goalscoring form from pre-season, in the middle of which he completed his exit from Liverpool after three years.

The Uruguayan called an end to his time with Liverpool, which will go down in the history books as underwhelming for a £64m player.

It ended with 40 goals scored in 143 appearances, and by the end he was playing a bit-part role under Arne Slot in last season's Premier League title success.

Nunez was sold to Al-Hilal in a £43.3m deal in August, after he had scored against Preston North End and Athletic Club in pre-season, and he has since kept up that positive form.

It began with Nunez scoring in three consecutive pre-season outings after moving to Saudi Arabia in August.

A latest milestone moment was his first-ever strike in the Saudi Pro League.

The forward may have blanked in the opening round of the season before the international break, but didn't take long to rectify this.

A swift attacking move was put away by the former Reds man from close range, sparking loud celebrations from the home supporters inside Riyadh's Kingdom Arena.
