According to A Bola, Benfica were due to receive a bonus for every milestone Nunez reached in terms of Premier League and Champions League starts.

To sweeten the deal, Liverpool can tempt Wirtz by offering him his favoured number 27 shirt.

This was initially Nunez's number when he signed for Liverpool three years ago, before he switched to number nine after his first season.
