According to reports, the striker has agreed to join Italian side Napoli, with only the final touches left on the deal.

The 25-year-old has struggled to find consistent form at Anfield since his arrival from Benfica.

Despite lifting the Premier League title under new boss Arne Slot, Nunez only managed seven league goals.

Kevin De Bruyne has already joined their midfield, and Nunez is expected to lead the line as they prepare to defend their Serie A crown.

Italian journalist Gerardo Fasano (via LFC Transfer Room) reports that Liverpool and Napoli have agreed on a deal worth around £38.4 million, with an additional £4.2 million in performance bonuses.

Florian Wirtz has already joined in a British-record move, giving Liverpool’s attack a new look for next season.
