Liverpool remain locked in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over a club-record deal for Florian Wirtz.
The 22-year-old started for Germany in their 2-0 Nations League third-place play-off defeat by France in Stuttgart on Sunday afternoon.
Negotiations are continuing with Leverkusen over a fee for the playmaker, who has made clear he wants a move to Anfield.
Liverpool’s most recent bid is worth £113m in total, with the Bundesliga side still holding out for £125m.
But one man who could be departing Anfield this summer is Darwin Nunez.

The ECHO reported last week that Liverpool are braced for renewed interest from the Saudi Pro League.
And now, according to Foot Mercato via Get Football News France, the Uruguay international is open to a move to Al-Hilal, who are claimed to be planning for a transfer spree this summer after missing out on the SPL title to Al-Ittihad.
The report goes on to claim that Al-Hilal have established contact with Nunez’s representatives in recent hours but are yet to submit a proposal to Liverpool.

It emerged over the weekend that Victor Osimhen has rejected the chance to link up with Al-Hilal.
Al-Hilal were looking to bring Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray but owned by Napoli, on board for their upcoming Club World Cup campaign.
However, the forward reportedly rejected a deal worth £25.3m a year as he prefers to stay in Europe.
Reds boss Arne Slot was forced to deny Nunez was dropped from Liverpool’s win against West Ham United back in April because of a training-ground row with a member of his coaching staff.
The forward, who moved to Anfield from Benfica during the summer of 2022, endured a difficult campaign under Slot in which he scored only seven goals in 47 appearances.
It was claimed towards the end of last season in the Portuguese media that Liverpool were limiting the striker’s appearances to avoid paying an add-on to Benfica.
But Slot hit back at those claims by stating that he’s never been told not to play someone at Liverpool down to financial reasons.
He said: “Do you always believe what journalists say?
Me neither.
“Sometimes you should, but sometimes it’s better not to believe everything that is written about players.
This is completely new to me and I’ve said many times that I’m working at a club here where it’s really nice to work.
“So mainly sporting directors are judged by the players they bring in, for me it’s very important to have a great working environment and I have that with Richard [Hughes].
"The last, last, last, last, last thing he would do, as I expect working with him for 10 months, is tell me: ‘If you play him, it would cost us this much’.

“That, he would never, never, never do.
I don’t even know if it’s true, yes or no, because we never talk about that.
"He never interferes with a lineup.
