Liverpool have some players they will be reluctant to sell while exits for others would be welcomed.
The Reds do not usually get transfers wrong but when they do, it can often be overlooked due to the sheer success of other signings.
Darwin Nunez, however, has been one of the most costly mistakes of them all, quite literally as he is their club-record signing after costing £85m from Benfica.
Jurgen Klopp opted to sign Nunez instead of Alexander Isak back in 2022 as well, something that will only add insult to injury.
An Anfield exit this summer seems almost nailed on and many clubs are in for him, with Napoli making Nunez one of their top targets.
But, there does seem to be an obvious choice for the Uruguayan to go to as a reunion with an old manager could benefit both parties rather nicely.

Sometimes players just do not suit a manager’s system, although Nunez does work in Arne Slot’s, he just doesn’t have the consistency to become a regular.
One system he did fit into perfectly, however, was Jorge Jesus’ at Benfica, and with his old coach set to take charge at the helm of Al Nassr this summer, a reunion with the 70-year-old might help him reignite his career.

Nunez played 66 times under Jesus at the Portuguese club and netted 32 goals during that time, also registering a further 14 assists.
This is the period where he enjoyed his best run of form, suggesting he should make the switch to Saudi to join him and get his career back on track.
The move also appears even more possible due to the fact that they are in the process of selling Jhon Duran, meaning a vacancy is about to open up.
Al Nassr paid £70m for the Colombian back in January and will likely get a good chunk of that back, giving them even more reason to splash out on Nunez.
Liverpool and Nunez certainly need to call it quits this summer, but the Reds are insistent on getting a decent fee for him, with this being at least £50m.
Napoli are already looking at Nunez’s alternatives, giving the 26-year-old one less option, while the majority of the other interest comes from Saudi.
The Uruguayan would prefer to stay in Europe but he has never ruled out a move to the Kingdom, suggesting that he should do just that, reunite with his old manager and reignite his career.
