Darwin Núñez has posted on social media for the first time since mysteriously deleting all photos of himself in a Liverpool kit last weekend.

Shortly after the full-time whistle was blown by referee Paul Tierney, Liverpool fans noticed Núñez had deleted all pictures of himself in red on his personal Instagram account.



That sparked speculation about his future at Anfield, especially after links to Barcelona emerged in recent weeks.

Núñez has now posted for the first time since doing this, as he replied to former Reds striker Luis Suárez, who netted his 500th career goal on Monday evening for his new side Inter Miami.

As previously noted, reports had emerged regarding a possible move to La Liga giants Barcelona for Núñez in recent weeks.

Back in 2021, he revealed on Twitch (via SportBible) that he had once urged Barcelona to make a move for Núñez before he joined Benfica then Liverpool a year later.
