The striker’s social media activity has caused quite the stir in recent days as he continues to be linked with a move away from Liverpool in the summer.
Here's your round-up of the latest Liverpool news.
Darwin Núñez posts on social media for first time since deleting Liverpool pictures
Darwin Núñez has posted on social media for the first time since deleting all the pictures of himself in a Liverpool kit from his Instagram account.
He was named as a substitute for the second game in a row against Tottenham on Monday, before then deleting all images of himself in a Liverpool kit on social media.
Núñez has now posted for the first time since taking that drastic action.
The Liverpool striker sparked more speculation when he was seen alongside the Barcelona defender earlier this week.
Liverpool misses out on Champions League bonus after Sadio Mané sale
Liverpool will of course be back in the Champions League next season.
The Reds have already secured their place back at Europe’s top table after a year away, with a top-four finish already assured in the Premier League.
Their absence would have been felt financially at Anfield, with the Champions League providing much bigger rewards than the Europa League.
Even then though, there could have been some incentives on offer for the Reds.
With Bayern Munich just missing out on a place in the final at Wembley against Bundesliga rival Borussia Dortmund, there could have been an opportunity for Liverpool to receive a bonus from Thomas Tuchel’s side being crowned European champions for a seventh time.
As the ECHO explains, when the Reds sold Sadio Mané to Bayern in 2022 in a deal worth up to $43.9m (£35.1m/€40.8m), one of the agreed clauses would have seen Liverpool receive a windfall if the German side went on to win the Champions League.
However, it’s now understood that those add-ons were only active while Mané remained at the club, meaning Liverpool would not have received a percentage of the $3.3m (£2.6m/€3m) in add-ons related to team achievements had Bayern beaten Real Madrid after the Senegal international made the move to Saudi Arabia last summer.
