David Moyes has insisted Declan Rice will blow the British transfer record "out of the water" if he was to ever leave West Ham United in the future. Rice has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea and he demonstrated why with a superb performance in a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United on Saturday evening that boosted West Ham's Premier League survival chances. The 24-year-old now captains the Hammers and has made 224 appearances for the club since making his debut six years ago. But Rice has indicated he would like to move on in the future and, while West Ham have the option to extend his contract, which runs out in the summer of 2024, by a further year, the clock is ticking on their chances of getting a huge fee for the England international. And their manager Moyes believes the fee would break the British record set last month by Chelsea when they signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £106m on deadline day.
Undoubtedly he’ll be a British transfer record if he ever leaves West Ham.”
It has so far been similar with Rice, which is in contrast to his England team-mate Jude Bellingham, who is on Reds boss Jurgen Klopp's transfer shortlist.
