David Ornstein has provided his latest on the Liverpool pursuit of Milos Kerkez.
The 21-year-old Hungarian international has emerged as the Reds’ top target for the left-back position, with Bournemouth valuing him at around £45–50 million.
Milos Kerkez’s switch to agent Fali Ramadani – who oversaw Federico Chiesa’s transfer to Liverpool in 2024 – could make negotiations for a potential move to Anfield more straightforward.
What once appeared like a done deal is now looking slightly cloudy.
It’s already been reported this week that Manchester City have enquired about the left-back.
Now David Ornstein, writing in his Athletic Q&A, has explained that talks between Bournemouth and Liverpool are not advanced:
“It’s not done?
Liverpool are his priority and he is their top target but they will have other options, too.”
“The likes of Real Madrid and Man City also have him on their radars but not as the top option.”
“It’s not advanced club-to-club yet, but clearly that can change at any point – if Liverpool (or anyone else) are ready to offer the sort of money Bournemouth are seeking.”
It is expected he moves but that doesn’t mean it’s imminent”
