Darwin Nunez is one of many Liverpool players who have already been linked with an Anfield exit ahead of the summer transfer window fully opening.

Nunez’s Liverpool future has been brought into question on numerous occasions this season, with the Uruguay international not having the best of times in front of goal.

Ornstein adds that a bid worth around €70million (£59.2million) was rejected by Liverpool in January, so if a deal is to be struck, that would be the ‘minimum’ he’d exit Anfield for.

With all of this in mind, while Nunez still has a decent amount of value and could still grow, it feels like the best thing that Slot and Richard Hughes could do is cut their losses and put the money earned from his sale towards strengthening the squad and replacing him.
