Liverpool fans were left in dismay as two of their biggest heroes of the past decade argued between themselves on Saturday.

Of course, disagreements happen in football, that’s nothing new.

We’ve seen a number of high-profile, very public spats at Liverpool during the Jurgen Klopp era.

But somehow, the sight of Mohamed Salah and Klopp going at it on the touchline at West Ham on was especially sad.

Klopp of course will not though, and it will be interesting to see how the German handles things with Mo until his departure.

As we’ve seen plenty of times during his stint with the club, Klopp is very much a ‘forgive and forget’ kind of character.

It would be a real surprise to see the 56-year-old harbour any lingering ill-will towards Salah over the final few weeks of his reign.

The pair have give each other so much after all.

And according to journalist David Ornstein, there is indeed no need for Liverpool fans to worry about any lasting damage.

Speaking on The Daily Football Briefing from The Athletic, Ornstein has shared how the matter is being dealt with ‘internally’ by the Reds.

“People have pointed to the tense exchange with Jurgen Klopp on the touchline at West Ham on Saturday,” says the journalist, after sharing his latest information on Salah’s future.

“But internally I’ve not sensed any real concern about that.

And furthermore with Klopp about to leave if there were any issues between the pair of them it kind of doesn’t matter, because Klopp is not going to be there for much longer.”

After a difficult 10 days or so on the road, Liverpool are finally back at Anfield this coming weekend.

Having seen Spurs lose to Arsenal last weekend, Liverpool are now virtually certain to be playing Champions League football next season.

As a result, there should be very little pressure at all on their final three games of the Premier League season.

Where that might have previously been thought of as Mo and Jurgen’s last stretch representing the club, we now know that not to be the case.
