And now, it seems like Liverpool have finally got their answer on who they’re going to sign out of Ekitike and Isak this summer.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano via his personal X account, it seems like Newcastle have now dropped out of the race for Ekitike.
“Understand Newcastle have now already left talks for Hugo Ekitike, deal considered off at this stage,” he wrote.
“Newcastle now focus on different targets as since Monday bid got rejected, Liverpool entered race, and there were no advances with the Magpies.
“Liverpool are now advancing.”

So, Ekitike it is then.
Now that Liverpool have seemingly chosen to go ahead with their move for Ekitike, the move for Isak will no doubt be off the table.
“EXCLUSIVE Hugo Ekitike and Liverpool reached an agreement over 6 year contract,” he wrote via his personal X account.
“The player only wants Liverpool.
