Callum Hudson-Odoi’s Nottingham Forest future is up in the air as the two parties must come to a decision over his contract.
The Garibaldi are gearing up for an exciting season ahead as they look to do even better than last time out.
Finishing seventh, Forest are likely to secure Europa League football amid Crystal Palace’s appeal to overturn their demotion to the Conference League.
Owner Angelos Marinakis is seeking to build an empire up north as Morgan Gibbs-White signed a new three-year-contract following links to a move to Tottenham.
The club have also now landed Bologna’s Dan Ndoye as a replacement for Anthony Elanga, set to play on the opposite wing to Hudson-Odoi.

The 24-year-old has one-year left on his current deal and has not signed a new one, “despite his advisors holding talks with Forest officials in Greece earlier this month”.
Deemed a “tricky one” over his uncertain future long-term at the club, both parties must come to a decision sooner rather than later.
The report said: “The former Chelsea winger has only a year left on his contract and has not signed a new one, despite his advisors holding talks with Forest officials in Greece earlier this month.
“Decision time is approaching for both parties.”

Football Insider verdict
When players enter the last year of their contracts with teams, it can prove to be an awkward situation.
If the player is more experienced and leaving their prime years, letting them go on a free is usually a sensible option.
However, in Hudson-Odoi’s case, at just 25-years-old, the number seven has much more to give to the club.
Parallels must be drawn with how Brentford managed the situations of Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo and the ongoing transfer saga of Yoane Wissa.

All three of these players were/are in the final year of their contract, which forced the Bees to sell some of the best footballers to play for the club.
Poor planning from the west London side meant the hierarchy couldn’t demand higher fees for Toney and Mbeumo, even though both sales raised just over £100million (Sofascore).
Currently, the club are locked in limbo on whether to sell the Congolese forward as he too enters the final year of his contract as uncertainty looms over the Gtech.
Moreover, failure to bring in solid replacements to their sold players has left Brentford in a vulnerable position, which could see them relegated this year.
If Forest can’t agree a deal with Hudson-Odoi, then selling him quickly seems the best option before the window closes.
A replacement seems to have been lined up already given they are linked with Fulham’s Adama Traore and Man City’s James McAtee.
Marinakis is a shrewd operator and will be ensuring his club does not make the same mistakes as the Bees did.
