Gabriel Magalhaes has made a successful return from injury for Arsenal and is already back in Brazil’s starting XI.
Gabriel‘s long-term future at the Emirates was subject to speculation after he suffered a season-ending injury in April, but the centre-back committed his future to Arsenal to sign a new contract until 2029.
Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr had lined up a bid for Gabriel prior to his long-term hamstring injury, but the Brazilian is set to stay put for the forseeable and Arsenal have now made another transfer decision.
The Gunners’ outlay of over £245million in the summer was focused on strengthening Mikel Arteta‘s frontline with Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze all signed, and that’s left several players out of favour.

Leandro Trossard is just one example of Gunners forwards whose minutes look set to take a hint this season, but Arsenal plan to keep the Belgium winger despite interest from clubs in the Turkish SuperLig.
Gabriel is in the polar opposite position and continues to be an integral cog in Arteta’s side after his return from injury this season, and has played the full 90 minutes in all three of their matches so far.
Brazil also see Gabriel as a key member of their side and the 27 year old marshalled their defence in a 3-0 win over Chile on Friday, before facing Bolivia at altitude in their last match of the international break.

Football Insider Verdict
With little over £13million accumulated in the permanent sales of Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos, Arsenal had the biggest net spent of any Premier League side in the summer with eight first-team players signed.
Piero Hincapie’s arrival on a loan-to-buy deal from Bayer Leverkusen provides competition for Gabriel, William Saliba and another new signing in Cristhian Mosquera, bolstering their central defensive stocks.
Further forward though, with Gyokeres, Eze, Madueke, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Ethan Nwaneri and a host of others to choose from, Arteta can’t say that he hasn’t been given the attacking talent to finally deliver te Premier League title.
