Liverpool season has officially begun and there are still some changes they would like to make before the window slams shut.
The Reds started off their title defence with a win in very dramatic circumstances, with very late goals helping them to all three points.
Arne Slot would have been worried about the performance, however, and this will only reinforce his idea that they need to strengthen, with this exactly what Liverpool look like they are going to go out and do.
With just weeks left of the transfer window, the Reds will have to pick up the pace a little as they face a race against time, with Monday linking them with players they perhaps have not been looking at before.

The defence is where Liverpool’s problems originated against Bournemouth, and throughout pre-season for that matter, with the Reds looking to do something about it.
A new name that may come as a surprise to many is that of Brentford’s Nathan Collins, with the Bees’ captain on the list for many top sides.
Liverpool are said to be battling it out with Manchester United for Collins, with Tottenham in the race too, although a move is heavily dependent on Marc Guehi.
The Crystal Palace man is still very much first choice, but depending on his price tag, the Reds may turn their attentions to Collins instead.

Liverpool’s left-back predicament has been an issue ever since Milos Kerkez arrived, with the Reds having three options in this position.
Now, it looks as if Kostas Tsimikas will be the one to depart rather than Andy Robertson, and it might just happen sooner than people think.

Tsimikas’ departure is expected to ‘accelerate’ in the coming days, with the Greek international potentially even going out on loan to speed up the process.
That appears to be the most likely option at this point in time, meaning Liverpool can then decide next season whether they should reintegrate him when Robertson’s contract expires should they see fit.

As mentioned, Guehi is still the first choice option, but there is still a chance he runs down his contract and then picks his next move in the summer of 2026.
Doing this, however, means Liverpool might miss out on him due to increased competition, with Inter Milan said to be waiting in the wings.
He may have hinted he is about to leave after snubbing his manager, however, with the Reds his only real option this summer, with this one a story that could gain traction in the coming days.
Elsewhere, Liverpool have inserted a buy-back clause into Ben Doak’s Bournemouth contract, while Reds fans are all saying the same thing after Hugo Ekitike’s Premier League debut.
