The Egyptian is fresh off the back of another record-breaking season with Liverpool.
The Reds romped their way to the Premier League title and every player played a vital role, none more so than Mohamed Salah.
‘The Egyptian King’ broke the record for the most combined goals and assists in a 38-game season with 47, winning the Golden Boot and Playmaker of the Season award in the process.
Although every player helped Liverpool win the Premier League title, Salah single-handedly got them over the line at points last season and, as usual, popped up with some important goals.
However, despite a monumental season even by his standards, former Red El Hadj Diouf has made a claim that may not go down too well.

Salah has won his fair share of individual awards in his time, although he has only been named African Player of the Year twice, winning it in 2017 and 2018.
And, despite his record-breaking season, former Liverpool player El Hadji Diouf believes Salah is set to miss out on it again and chose Achraf Hakimi to win it instead.
“This year is definitely Hakimi,” Diouf told ESPN UK in a recent TikTok video.

“I love Salah so much, he did very good things this year but I think the best player in Africa this season [is Hakimi].
“He has won everything and it was magical, he was one of the biggest guys for PSG as a second captain, so I think Hakimi deserves it.”
Many may agree but, equally, a lot will disagree, with Salah himself, rightly or wrongly, looking set to miss out on a handful of individual awards.
This debate is certainly a much more hotly-debated topic and the winner could be any one of four players really.
However, the 32-year-old appears one of the more likely to miss out after pundits have snubbed Salah for the Ballon d’Or and, instead, opted for the likes of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha or Ousmane Dembele.

Even Salah’s teammates disagree over who should win the award, with Ibrahima Konate snubbing Salah for Dembele, while Ryan Gravenberch believes Salah should win the Ballon d’Or.
It is shaping up to be a disappointing end to the season for Salah despite such an impressive outing, although that will not stop him from attempting to better himself again next campaign.
