Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov had a brilliant reaction to his former club going top of the Premier League. Liverpool were leapfrogged by the Red Devils after their 1-0 win over Burnley on Tuesday night thanks to a fine volley from Paul Pogba.

United have gone top of the Premier League and have a genuine chance of winning the title this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It is a remarkable turnaround from the start of the season when the Norweigan was under mounting pressure following their exit from the Champions League.

But the Red Devils have won 11 of their 17 matches in the league - more than anyone else - and lead second-placed Liverpool by three points.

And they have Pogba to thank after his brilliant volley downed a resilient Burnley on Tuesday night to earn United the win.

It sets up a mouthwatering tie with Liverpool this Sunday as the two titans battle it out at the summit of the Premier League.

Red Devils icon Berbatov had a class reaction to the win on Tuesday, chanting: "We'll do what we want, we'll do what we want, we're Man United, we'll do what we want..."

It follows another United legend, Gary Neville, who has been blown away by the improvements made by his former side in recent months.

"To go top of the league before Sunday, it feels like a big moment," he told Sky Sports.

"Six to eight weeks ago you didn't think they would be anywhere near. Now something is building, a spirit is growing, you can see the togetherness.

"Eight weeks ago, Liverpool were everyone's certainties. No-one is getting carried away, it could easily turn the other way but the fact they are in a title race… wow.

"You have to give credit to the players.

"It is a strange season. Why shouldn't Manchester United fans believe, why shouldn't this team believe? They have some fantastic players.

"I don't think it will be a comfortable few days for Liverpool. They didn't expect this."
