The Liverpool forward, whose life tragically came to an end in a car accident along with his brother Andre Silva on Thursday, won numerous major trophies after joining the Reds from Wolves in 2020.

The 28-year-old played a pivotal role in Arne Slot's team securing the Premier League title last season, making 26 appearances.



During his time at Liverpool, he scored an impressive 65 goals in 182 appearances and added both the FA Cup and League Cup to his collection of honours.

Internationally, Jota celebrated winning the Nations League with Portugal for the second time this past June.

Jota won many trophies with Liverpool.

"The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre

Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre's family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss
