Adama Traore has paid a touching tribute to Diogo Jota, revealing a lasting lesson he once received from the Liverpool forward.
The 28-year-old was both killed in a car crash, along with his brother, Andre Silva, in the early hours of Thursday (July 3).
They had been travelling across Spain in order to catch a ferry to return to England ahead of the start of pre-season, when their vehicle veered off the road following a tyre blowout.
The pair were laid to rest in their hometown of Gondomar on Saturday (July 5), with the majority of the Liverpool first team squad in attendance along with Arne Slot and a number of club staff and officials to pay their respects to the Portuguese.

Traore played alongside Jota at Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the pair making 58 appearances together during their two shared seasons at Molineux.
And the Spain international, who is now on the books of Fulham after leaving Wolves in 2023, has taken to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to his former team-mate as he revealed one piece of advice he had received from Jota during their time in the West Midlands.
Posting a picture of Traore coming on as a substitute in place of Jota, he wrote on Instagram: “I'll never forget what you told me: to make the most of every minute, whether I’m starting or coming off the bench, and that a goal in the 1st or the 90th counts the same.

“Not to let my head drop and to keep working, because in the end, things will fall into place.

Traore also posted a heart emoji at the end of his post in honour of Jota.
The Liverpool first team squad reported back to the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday (July 8) for the start of pre-season.
The Reds had earlier taken the decision to postpone the start of their pre-season training schedule following Jota’s passing.
The first phase of Reds players had initially been due to report to the AXA Training Centre on Friday (July 4) ahead of a larger contingent returning on Monday (July 7).
