Tributes have been flooding in for Liverpool player Diogo Jota after the 28-year-old was killed in a car accident alongside his younger brother.

Many rival teams shared tributes to Jota after Liverpool confirmed his death, with Manchester United posting: "Our deepest condolences are with the loved ones of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre, and everyone connected with Liverpool FC."

Everton, meanwhile, said in a statement: "Everyone at Everton is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.

Our hearts go out to the family, friends and loved ones of Diogo and his brother, Andre.

We will all miss you."

Meanwhile, an official Premier League statement read: "Everyone at the Premier League is shocked and devastated to learn of the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre.
