The Liverpool community is mourning the devastating loss of Jota, who lost his life in a car crash alongside his brother Andre Silva while driving through Spain on Thursday.
The tragic incident occurred as they were traveling to catch a ferry back to Merseyside for the commencement of the Reds' pre-season, with their car tragically leaving the road after a tire blowout.
The funeral for Jota and Silva took place in their native Gondomar on Saturday.
Mane and Jota shared the field at Liverpool for two seasons, featuring in 64 games together and securing victories in both the League Cup and FA Cup under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
Upon hearing of Jota's untimely passing, Mane conveyed his sorrow on Instagram, posting a photo of the duo celebrating a goal with two broken heart emojis and a sad face.
