Manchester City supporters are practically begging their club to sign Tino Livramento following his performance against Liverpool on Monday.
The Cityzens have been linked with Livramento throughout this summer, but now look set to stick with Rico Lewis after giving the 21-year-old a new contract.
Nevertheless, football finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider recently that City can still afford Livramento.
And after his performance in Newcastle’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool on Monday, City might be tempted to make another push.
Livramento lined up in a more unfamiliar left-back role at St.
James’ Park on Monday, but still produced the same sort of dynamic performance we’re very quickly becoming accustomed to.
The 22-year-old completed three of his five dribbles on the night, while playing two passes into the final third and winning six of his nine ground duels (FotMob).

But Livramento’s crowning moment was the delicious cross he delivered that allowed Bruno Guimaraes to head the Geordies back into the game on 57 minutes.
James’ Park went haywire, Manchester City fans took to social media to urge their club to ‘do anything in their power’ to sign Livramento.

Although Man City already have one hugely talented right-back at their disposal in Lewis, Livramento would still be a superb addition.
The Newcastle man is all about power, dynamism and final-third chaos from out wide, whereas Lewis is more technically refined and performs well in an inverted role.

What’s more, the fact that Livramento has proven himself comfortable at left-back perfectly fits the versatility Pep Guardiola looks for in his players, and you could imagine him filling a similar role to that of Joao Cancelo.
However, to ask Newcastle to sell at this late stage in the window would be almost unthinkable.
The Magpies have already endured a torrid summer, missing out on the likes of Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Sesko, while they still face the very real possibility of losing Alexander Isak to Liverpool.
The last thing Eddie Howe needs is for one of his supremely talented full-backs to jump ship, too, so the Magpies are almost certain to reject any more advances for Livramento out of hand.
