Eberechi Eze and James Maddison have sparked a heated debate between co-presenters live on talkSPORT.
Crystal Palace‘s talisman is edging closer and closer to a move to Tottenham as it seemed Eze was waving goodbye to Palace fans after the weekend’s draw with Chelsea.
The 27-year-old has been on the radar of both north London clubs, yet it appears Arsenal have been pipped to the post by their rivals.
Following the injury to Maddison, Thomas Frank will be working out where to play Eze, whether in the 10 or on the left-hand side.
Given the England international will likely fill the void of the former Leicester maestro’s absence, Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein were involved in an intense discussion about the pair.

Speaking on talkSPORT (19 August), co-hosts Goldstein and former Spurs striker Bent mulled over the expected Eze transfer to Tottenham.
Highlighting that the Englishman will fill the void due to the injuries of both Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, the ex-Sunderland forward asked Goldstein: “Do you think that [signing Eze] is an upgrade?
[on Maddison]”

The presenter deflected the question by confessing his love for Maddison as Bent fired back: “Okay, that wasn’t the question.”
Goldstein continued to be flustered by the demand, quickly responding: “Why are you [Bent] asking me that?”
To which the ex-Aston Villa front man snapped back saying: “Do you want to work on radio or not?”
His co-presenter jokingly remarked: “Do I want to work on radio.
Why, does my future depend on this answer?”
Goldstein eventually landed on Maddison, claiming that him and Eze are “different players”, which Bent instantly disagreed with and accused his colleague of not telling the truth.
The talkSPORT studio erupted into an intense argument over who was better Maddison or Eze
Football Insider verdict
Whilst the Frank era has begun incredibly well, the club cannot rest on their laurels and must push forward to secure even better players to improve the squad.
The 27-year-old is precisely the man the Lilywhites need to spearhead the creative burden and link up the midfield and the striker.
The Eagles talisman is an incredibly gifted footballer who possesses a wide array of dazzling qualities including set-piece precision, quick acceleration and a sensational first touch.

I expect the midfield magician will not play every match under the Dane, given the ex-Brentford manager’s preference to alter his team depending on the calibre of opponent.
However, Daniel Levy is bolstering the team in all the right areas, likely learning from the injury mayhem under Ange Postecoglou.
Now is the time to capitalise on the Europa League victory as the Lilywhites look to seriously compete this season across the board with Eze being the cherry on top.
