Liverpool left it late again but started off their European campaign with a win.
The Reds have not been the most convincing to say the least at the start of the season, but somehow, they keep grinding out wins.
Despite letting a two-goal lead slip and needing a 92nd -minute winner to get them out of trouble, their overall game was much better than in the past.
One player who had yet another excellent performance was Dominik Szoboszlai, with the Hungarian being one of the Reds’ most important stars at the start of the new season.
His versatility has played a key role in helping them get over the line, with the midfielder even filling in at right-back three times so far, to good effect too.
But, as shown in the Atletico Madrid game, his best position is elsewhere on the pitch, and it may mean he plays there more often this season.

During the summer, many were left wondering where Szoboszlai would fit into the team following the arrival of Florian Wirtz, with it looking like he would have to play a bit-part role.
That could not have been further from the truth, though, and the Hungarian has played 90 minutes in all six of Liverpool’s games so far this season, including the Community Shield.

Granted, a lot of these have come from right-back, but as shown against Atletico, his ability to play in the number eight is exceptional, with this definitely his best position on the pitch.
This is only proven further when looking at his heatmap on SofaScore, with the Hungarian covering almost every blade of grass.

Szoboszlai also won almost all of his duels and was accurate with 91% of his passes, with his performance truly one of the best on the pitch.
With Everton up next in the early kick-off on Saturday, there could be a chance he gets rested due to how much football he has played already, but Arne Slot might be very silly if he decides not to play him.
Sometimes Liverpool have had a very settled midfield three and others find it impossible to break into the team, but this season feels different.
The competition for places has only gotten greater and Slot now has plenty of options to choose from.
Szoboszlai can compete with Alexis Mac Allister for a starting role, but so too can Curtis Jones when he is back fit.
If Ryan Gravenberch needs a rest, Wataru Endo can come in to replace him, although the other midfielders are also capable of dropping back to fill in.
It will certainly cause the Liverpool boss a headache going forward, but it is a good selection dilemma to have and is something that gives the Reds the edge over their opponents.
