Dominik Szoboszlai has wished Trent Alexander-Arnold the best after his Liverpool exit was confirmed

Dominik Szoboszlai has sent a heartfelt message to Trent Alexander-Arnold, urging him to "enjoy" what's next after the defender confirmed his Liverpool exit.

The 26-year-old announced he will leave Anfield when his contract expires on June 30, ending an association with the club of more than two decades.

After making his debut in the 2016/2017 season, Alexander-Arnold earned two Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, the FA Cup, League Cup, alongside other honours through 352 matches played.



With just three games possibly left at the club – starting against Arsenal – he turns the page on his storied Liverpool journey.

Madrid is buzzing with anticipation for Alexander-Arnold's speculated arrival, even though Real Madrid stands as a fierce competitor to Liverpool.

Sharing a video clip of Alexander-Arnold's Liverpool exit news, Szoboszlai commented: "My boy.

Love you and enjoy [love heart]."

Alexander-Arnold, influential in Liverpool clinching the title this season with 28 appearances out of 35, hinted that staying was on the table, saying, "One hundred per cent, [staying was] a massive possibility." reports the Liverpool Echo.

"I've got full confidence in the manager and the staff and the club going forward.

"It's not about me thinking we're not going to fight for titles or fight for trophies season-in, season-out because I knew from these first few moments with the manager that he was a winner, he was aiming to go and win things.

And you've seen that this season with the way that we've played."

He added: "So it was never about not having confidence in that, it just boiled down to what I felt I needed, and that is a change.

"That's something I need to do on my personal journey as a person, but also as a player and a professional, to go and challenge myself elsewhere.
