Dominik Szoboszlai’s agent, Matyas Esterhazy, has revealed he has no concerns about his client’s place in the Liverpool team despite the summer signing of Florian Wirtz.
The German international joined the Reds for an initial fee of £100 million ($137M) but that could rise to £116M ($159M) depending on possible add-ons.
Given the 22-year-old is Liverpool’s record signing and is seen as a generational talent, there is little doubt he will play a prominent role in the side next season.
Wirtz’s preference is to play as a no.10, the role Szoboszlai occupied in the team during Arne Slot’s first season in charge.
Despite that, Esterhazy is unfazed, and feels elite clubs signing top-quality players is to be expected.

Arne Slot even revealed before the match that the former RB Leipzig man sees his preferred position as a “no.8”.
Meanwhile, the versatile Wirtz is capable of playing as a false nine or out wide, meaning Szoboszlai could still retain his more advanced role from this season
Szoboszlai will be joined at Liverpool by his close friend Milos Kerkez next season
