Liverpool have been warned not to complain if Alexander Isak joins the club then strikes to push through a move to Real Madrid.
That is according to Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier, who told Football Insider that financial rules could force the Reds’ hand further down the line.
Isak is on strike from Newcastle in an attempt to force a move to Anfield.

The 25-year-old has not participated in any of the Magpies’ pre-season preparations and, as a consequence, will not be involved in the club’s season-opener against Aston Villa.
The news comes as a boost to Liverpool’s pursuit of Isak.
The Reds made a bid of £110million [BBC Sport] on 1 August that was rejected, and they are keen to avoid paying Newcastle’s £150m asking price.

But even if Liverpool are able to secure Isak’s signature this summer, Le Tissier told Football Insider that it is likely a similar scenario will play out in the future.
The Reds’ fanbase was dismayed when Trent Alexander-Arnold chose to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, and the Spanish giants have a draw that few other clubs can compete with.
Le Tissier said: “From Liverpool’s point of view, that’s fine, if you get that player using those tactics.
“As long as when Real Madrid come knocking for Alexander Isak, you don’t start complaining about the tactics being used then.
“Let’s be honest, 99% of football clubs are selling clubs if the price is right.
“That is even more relevant in today’s game in a land of PSR rules in this country, and UEFA’s financial fair play rules as well.”
The Merseyside to Madrid path looks set to become increasingly well trodden.
Whilst Isak’s move to the Spanish capital seems distant at this point, given he is yet to arrive in Liverpool, the same cannot be said for a key member of Arne Slot‘s side.

Ibrahima Konate is a target for Real Madrid, Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider, and the Reds will demand £40m from Xabi Alonso’s side this summer.
With just a year remaining on his current deal and no new contract in sight, there could quickly become a strong contingent of ex-Liverpool players at the Bernabeu soon.
