Chelsea supporters believe that two first-team exits have now been confirmed by Enzo Maresca ahead of facing Bayer Leverkusen.

The Blues have just two friendly matches to play before kicking off their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace on Sunday, 17 August, having finished fifth in the table last term.

While Maresca was under pressure from Chelsea fans for much of the 2024/25 season, the Italian looks to have turned his fortunes around now after lifting the Europa Conference League and Club World Cup trophies.

Now, with a few weeks remaining until the summer transfer window slams shut, the manager continues to make major changes to his squad, especially after winning £84million in prize money over in America.

The likes of Joao Felix, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, and Lesley Ugochukwu have all found new homes, either temporarily or permanently, ahead of a new campaign.

With big-money deals done for Jorrel Hato, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Dario Essugo, the Blues desperately need to make more room in the squad and move some players on.

Financial expert Kieran Maguire has been hugely impressed by Chelsea’s activity in the transfer market, with multiple big deals done over the last few seasons, but always remaining positive in net spend.

And now, it appears that a decision has been made over the futures of both Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, with neither in the squad to face Bayer Leverkusen on Friday, 8 August.

Reacting to the decisions, one supporter said, “Jackson leaving confirmed,” while another wrote: “Even more evidence that Jackson and Nkunku are really leaving…”

Some fans have not taken the news lightly, with another sending an emotional message, saying, “Goodbye, Jackson.

You were a good guy,” as supporters come to terms with their impending exits.

Jackson was far more involved last season, notching 13 goals and six assists in 37 matches, but rumours have been circling the duo ever since the summer transfer window opened.
