It hasn't stopped there, and the party at Anfield has continued throughout the summer.

Bruce Springsteen's two shows at the home of the Reds were memorable, with the second night including Sir Paul McCartney as a special guest.

Despite the rain, Dua Lipa made sure that there were no signs of a premature hangover as the party continued on the first night of her two shows at Anfield.

Early in her set, she told Liverpool to make some noise, and the crowd didn't need to be asked again as they threatened to cause a series of tremors in L4 for the second time this year.

She told fans that it was a 'dream come true' to play at Anfield, and she didn't disappoint her loyal fans with a memorable set list with songs including Don't Start Now, Be the One, and Levitating.

But in the spiritual home of one of her biggest hits, fans didn't have to wait long to hear One Kiss blasted on the speakers of Anfield again.

Red confetti, fireworks and One Kiss you could have been mistaken for thinking Liverpool were lifting the Premier League trophy again.

It feels like a lifetime ago since Dua Lipa's One Kiss became part of the Liverpool songbook that night in Kyiv.

The bond began in 2018 ahead of the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The scenes inside the Olympiyskiy Stadium in the Ukrainian capital were unforgettable, and since then, One Kiss has become part of Liverpool's trophy celebrations.

The song has been played at Anfield countless times during celebrations and also had numerous airings at Wembley as Liverpool fans bask in the glory of silverware.

But to see Dua Lipa perform the song that will always be mentioned by fans when they look back at the past decade was quite something.

In parts of the ground there were dads singing more passionately than their daughters because of the affiliation the song has to the Champions.

Just like the trophy wins, Liverpool fans have also been craving this moment ever since May 26, 2018.

And she didn't disappoint fans with two performances of the song that has become part of the Anfield songbook since 2018.

One Kiss was the fourth song on her set list, but she thrilled fans with an admission near the end of her set.

She told the crowd: "We couldn't leave without doing this one more time" and under the red lights at Anfield, she performed the song before closing the show with Houdini.

Throughout the show, Dua spoke about the special connection she has with the city and brought out a Liverpool music legend, Dave McCabe, in a special moment that had the crowd singing Valerie at the top of their voices.

Closing the show she said: "Liverpool you're the one.

This has been an incredible night."

Some people on social media have been using the catchphrase the 'summer of Liverpool' recently and judging by the scenes at Anfield they're absolutely right.

The summer of Liverpool continues at Anfield tonight.
