EA Sports FC has announced the release date for Liverpool’s new Adidas kit on its platform.
The popular gaming company made the announcement on their social media post.
It comes following the official release of Liverpool’s kits with Adidas.
Liverpool announced a new multi-year partnership with Adidas in March, marking the sportswear giant’s return as the club’s official kit partner.
The new partnership between Liverpool FC and adidas is reportedly valued at over £60 million annually, marking a significant increase from the previous deal with Nike, which included a base fee of £30 million plus 20% royalties on net sales.
However, despite announcing the deal with Adidas in March, Nike continued to supply Liverpool’s kit until July 31st, when their deal with Liverpool officially ended.
Liverpool officially launched its highly anticipated new partnership with Adidas on August 1st, accompanied by the release of the home and away kits.
The new home shirt features a clean all-red colourway with crisp white Adidas three stripes down the sleeves and a modern crew neck collar.
It’s reminiscent of Liverpool’s 2006-07 kit, the first Adidas design after they replaced Reebok, worn by legends like Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso.
The away kit takes inspiration from classic Liverpool away shirts, featuring an off-white base (officially called “Wonder White”) with bold black and red detailing?
The Liver Bird is framed within a shield design inspired by the shape of Anfield’s original Main Stand from 1892.
With the Adidas switch now official, EA Sports has revealed that the new Liverpool Adidas kit will be available on their platform from September 26th.
“The new Adidas Liverpool kit is coming to FC26 on September 26,” EA Sports revealed on X.
