Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony: It is ‘my dream’ for Liverpool to buy Ronnie Edwards
According to Liverpool Echo, Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has tweeted that it is his ‘dream’ for Liverpool to buy Ronnie Edwards.
And in a reply to one of them who joked that he could sell Edwards for 50p to his ‘boyhood club Liverpool’, MacAnthony admitted that it is his ‘dream’ for LFC to buy Edwards.
The Irish author, entrepreneur, and most importantly an apparent Liverpool fan, was conversing on Twitter with some of the Posh fans.
Perhaps the 46-year-old Dublin-born businessman tweeted that with a tinge of humour, there aren’t many clubs better than Liverpool when it comes to honing world-class talents.
Edwards is an up-and-coming centre-back for the Championship team.
Hopefully, MacAnthony realises this dream sometime in the future if the Reds ever sit on the negotiation table with him.
But a homegrown 19-year-old centre-back who has an idea of English football at his tender age would be a solid option for most clubs- be it as an understudy for one of their senior players or as an option for the future.
