Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze was among teammates to react to a confirmed departure from the club this summer.
Eze enjoyed a brilliant season for the Eagles last term, playing a key role in helping the club lift their first major trophy in their history when Crystal Palace beat Man City in the FA Cup final.
The 27-year-old was involved in 25 goals across all competitions, continuing his rise as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents.
However, his performances have inevitably attracted interest from elsewhere.
Football Insider reported that Arsenal are accelerating plans to sign Eze this summer, and that their signing of Noni Madueke will not impact a potential deal for the Crystal Palace star.
His contract contains a £68 million release clause, though Arsenal want to pay below that figure as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
With growing speculation surrounding his own future, Eze has now responded on social media following confirmation of a teammate’s exit from Selhurst Park.

It was officially confirmed on 31 July that Jesse Derry had joined Chelsea following the expiration of his contract at Selhurst Park.
Derry marked the move with an emotional Instagram message, saying his memories at the club would “stay with me forever” but that it’s “time for a new journey”.
His post received plenty of support from former teammates, with Eze, Romain Esse and former club captain Joel Ward, who also left Palace, among those to like the message.

Football Insider revealed back in July that Derry had been in talks with a Champions League club in Germany and had even come close to agreeing a deal, but has decided to sign for Chelsea.
The forward made 20 appearances and scored nine goals in all competitions last season and was named Crystal Palace’s Under-18s Player of the Season for 2023/24, proving to be a blow to the side.

Chelsea have continued their aggressive pursuit of young talent under Clearlake Capital, beating out strong interest for the youngster’s signature.
Football Insider revealed Juventus, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid had been monitoring Derry since February, before the player informed Palace of his decision to leave in May.
Now officially a Chelsea player, Derry will be part of the Blues’ academy setup and is expected to wear the number 10 shirt in the upcoming season.
