Eddie Howe does not need to worry any longer about his goalscoring issues after a turbulent transfer window at Newcastle.
Newcastle‘s summer was dominated by the Alexander Isak saga and the Toon’s inability to replace the Sweden international until the closing days of the window.
After refusing to play for the club again, Isak joined Liverpool in a British transfer record fee of £125million.
Isak’s absence, a lack of depth up-front, and a red card to Anthony Gordon against Liverpool means Newcastle head into their clash with Wolves in 17th, with just two points on the board.

Newcastle signed Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart and Yoane Wissa from Brentford to significantly bolster their attack in the latter stages of the window.
Whilst Wissa is Premier League proven, 23-year-old Woltemade has high potential and should be given the opportunity to start against Wolves.
Wolves currently sit bottom of table, and head to St James’ Park low on confidence, meaning the match is the perfect opportunity for the German to get off the mark.

Woltemade has been described as a “phenomenon”, as per The Guardian, and has already made appearances for Stuttgart this season prior to his move to Newcastle.
Wissa, meanwhile, was not included in any Brentford squad before he signed for Howe’s side and refused to train at the club.
The Athletic‘s Chris Waugh [8 September], though, believes Wissa will get the nod over Woltemade against Wolves, which could be a significant decision with the clash against Barcelona in the Champions League just five days later.
Nick Woltemade left Stuttgart to join Newcastle.
Gordon will be serving the second match of his three-game suspension against Wolves, meaning Jacob Murphy could deputise down the left flank.
Jacob Ramsey will provide much needed competition in midfield following his arrival from Aston Villa, though the 24-year-old will have a tough task shifting Howe’s preferred trio of Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
Malick Thiaw is yet to make his Newcastle debut, and could do so against Wolves, though the return of Sven Botman against Leeds last time out was a major positive for Howe.
Nick Pope is currently fending off competition from Aaron Ramsdale to keep his place in-between the sticks.
