Emma Hayes and Jurgen Klopp's departure announcements from Chelsea and Liverpool have been "unsettling" and potentially impacted both team's 'end-of-season collapses', according to Karen Carney.
However, Klopp's Liverpool are in line to finish the season with only the Carabao Cup in tow, while Hayes all but confirmed that any silverware hopes were spoiled following their dramatic 4-3 loss to Liverpool in the Women's Super League on Tuesday night.
While Liverpool claimed the Carabao Cup with a 1-0 win over Chelsea, they were dumped out of the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and Europa League, and a torrid run of form in the last week leaves them off the pace for the Premier League title race.
"There's something in the psychology of Jurgen Klopp and Emma Hayes," Carney claimed after Tuesday night's WSL clash.
Earlier in the segment, Hayes declared "it's not going to be this year" in regards to the title, with Manchester City now sitting six points clear at the top of the table after Chelsea lost one of their two games in hand.
Yet, Hayes' defeatist attitude surprised Carney, who branded the comments "weird".
