Football Insider Verdict
Buonanotte will be gutted that just days into life at Chelsea, he will not be able to play in the Champions League and must wait until the knockout rounds to be included.
Maresca has lots of attacking options, but Buonanotte will be particularly confused over whether he was not put on the B list.

The move shows Chelsea’s squad depth, though the decision by Maresca could create early friction between him and the player.
Colwill’s inclusion is a surprising one, with the defender set to miss the entirety of the season with an ACL injury, and Buonanotte can be particularly aggrieved with that decision.

Buonanotte will seemingly be limited to cup matches, although Cole Palmer’s latest injury could earn him a start in the Premier League to show Maresca he has made the wrong call.
