Manchester City's Erling Haaland was seen keeping tabs on Liverpool's Premier League title triumph while his team secured their spot in the FA Cup final with a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Wembley.

The Norwegian striker, currently sidelined due to a knee injury sustained during their quarter-final win against Bournemouth, is known to be close friends with Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai from their time together at RB Salzburg.

Haaland took to Snapchat to share a picture of Rico Lewis after the England defender scored the opening goal on Sunday.



Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah all found the back of the net, while an own-goal from Destiny Udogie added to the scoreline.

This came after an early shock when Dominic Solanke's powerful header gave Spurs the lead, momentarily silencing the Kop.

Before his post-match press conference, Pep Guardiola was gracious in defeat, praising the Reds alongside their Premier League triumph.

"On behalf of myself and all the club, we want to congratulate Liverpool of their Premier League victory," he commented, "It's well deserved, no doubts about that, a fantastic team."

Liverpool has ended City's dominance in English football by snatching the title, mirroring their 2020 glory.

Meanwhile, Alan Shearer expects City and Arsenal to put up a better fight in the title race next season.

What I think will happen though is both Man City and Arsenal will put up a better fist of things and probably not have the amount of injuries they’ve had this season
