Everton and Liverpool have both been encouraged by the Premier League to get their squads and back room staff vaccinated.

More than 46 million people have been given a jab since the UK's Covid vaccine rollout began in December 2020.

As recently as April, the Premier League wrote a letter to various bodies stating the benefits of Covid passports.

And now the ECHO understands that the Premier League has been doing its part and urged its clubs to urge their staff to get their jabs due to the difference it makes.

And the ECHO understands that the Premier League are supportive of Covid passes as they see it as the best possible way to ensure full capacity at grounds this season.

The Prime Minister also recently urged anyone who had not booked their vaccine to do so and thanked those who had taken up their offer.
