Tyler Dibling’s proposed move from Southampton to Everton will get done, according to a top source.

The 19-year-old has been on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, following the Saints’ relegation to the Championship last season.

On 9 August, the south coast side beat Wrexham 2-1 in their opening game of the new campaign, but Dibling was left out of the squad completely as rumours about his future continue.

The Toffees have made a number of bids for the young winger, with the latest being a £40million offer, which Southampton rejected.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Dibling will complete his move to the Hill Dickinson stadium this summer.

This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen CEO.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness revealed that his sources are not convinced by Dibling, despite the flashes of talent he has shown.

Last season, the England under-21 international started 20 Premier League games for the Saints, scoring two goals.

Wyness added that Southampton could be getting a great deal if their sale of Dibling to Everton goes through.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “It’s a difficult one.

“What I’m a little bit concerned about is, I’ve been speaking to a number of my sources down on the South Coast.

They think Southampton have got a great deal.

They’re not so convinced about Dibling as a player.

I think now the seasoned David Moyes, the great elder statesman of the game that he’s become rather than the angry Scotsman I knew when he was at Everton, will handle that a lot better.”

Meanwhile, Everton are plotting a move for Norwich right-back Kellen Fisher, sources have told Football Insider.

The 21-year-old made 41 appearances for the Canaries last season, assisting four times, and is now on the radar of a Toffees side in the midst of a full-scale overhaul under David Moyes.

Fisher is capable of playing at left-back and in the centre of midfield, but is most comfortable at right-back.

The young defender has been capped three times for England’s Under-20 side and came off the bench in the closing stages of Norwich’s opening day 2-1 loss to Millwall on Saturday, 9 August.
