Yves Bissouma could be on his way to Everton after rapidly falling out of favour with Thomas Frank at Tottenham Hotspur, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about Bissouma’s chances of leaving Spurs this summer.
Bissouma was left out of Tottenham’s UEFA Super Cup squad to face PSG after Frank highlighted his repeated lateness over the course of pre-season, and fans are ready to see him moved to pastures new.
Everton are still lacking cover in several positions this summer and have been linked with a move for Man City’s Nathan Ake, and Football Insider sources have said that Bissouma is also on David Moyes‘ radar.
With Bissouma well down the pecking order and his “bridges burnt” at Spurs, sources have told Football Insider that Tottenham will look to sell this summer with just a year remaining on the Malian’s contract.
Sources have also told Football Insider that Spurs will look to recoup at least some of the £25million fee they paid Brighton for Bissouma in 2022, making any deal difficult to do for Everton after their financial struggles.

Former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Tottenham have already upgraded on Bissouma with the signing of Joao Palhinha, and all signs point towards the exit door for the 28-year-old.

Speaking on the new Inside Track podcast, O’Rourke stated that Everton are far from the only club keen on Bissouma as his contract enters its final 12 months, and expects the Blues to pursue a cut-price deal.
“There are a few clubs who would look at Bissouma”, he told Football Insider.
“It seems that he’s burnt his bridges at Tottenham now, being left out of that Super Cup defeat due to disciplinary reasons.
“Spurs will be looking to recoup part of their £25million investment rather than risk losing him for nothing, so they will be open to offers.
“Everton are lacking cover in a number of areas – if Everton could get a good deal for Bissouma, he could be a player who makes a real impact for David Moyes’ side.
“[It’s] not an easy deal to do, due to the price tag on Bissouma’s head if Spurs are looking to cash in.
“There will be other clubs across Europe who’ll be looking at Bissouma as a potential target in the final days of the window, if Spurs do put him on the market as we expect.”

Moyes’ side were woefully off the pace in their Premier League opener against Leeds, losing 1-0 with a thrown-together team which hardly threatened despite debuts for new signings like Jack Grealish.
Everton were forced to play Jake O’Brien and James Garner as makeshift full-backs, but have since strengthened out wide and are on the brink of completing the £42million signing of Tyler Dibling.
Further additions to Moyes’ midfield in the form of Bissouma certainly wouldn’t go amiss, but the Toffees will face a difficult challenge to overcome the anticipated interest of several European sides.
