Everton are preparing to splash the cash on Jack Grealish as a deal between them and Man City ramps up ahead of the upcoming season.
The Aston Villa graduate has been involved in an intense transfer saga as the 29-year-old seeks to play more football prior to the start of the new season.
The number 10 struggled to force his way into Pep Guardiola‘s thinking last time out as the shinier toys of Jeremy Doku and Savinho dominated out wide.
Amongst his suitors are Tottenham who are looking to fill the void left by James Maddison’s injury, leaving the Lilywhites vulnerable in attack.

David Moyes and Everton are also in for the winger with ex-Head of Communications at Everton Alan Myers stating that negotiations remain ongoing.
Wages were thought to be an issue but as the window edges ever closer to ending, the Toffees appear unphased.

According to a report by The Times (9 August), the Merseyside club have “strengthened” their interest to bring the ex-Villa man onboard despite the financial requirements.
The club have been looking to “seal a loan deal” and, reportedly, initial enquiries have found that the Citzyens are “seeking to recoup as much of Grealish’s £300,000-a-week wage as possible”, totalling “at least £12million”.
It is a big commitment but the England international is not needed at the Etihad, so the blue half of Manchester will be keen to get this deal done and The Friedkin Group are apparently looking to match that enthusiasm.

Football Insider verdict
Having failed to win any matches this pre-season, it is not looking good on Merseyside and the Scottish manager desperately needs reinforcements.
In particular, the Blues remain light in attack as they also look to bring in Tyler Dibling from Southampton after having several bids rejected.
Recruiting the former Villain would be a masterstroke for Everton, bringing in an experienced and highly motivated player who will be striving to work hard to impress Thomas Tuchel for the World Cup next year.

However, with end of the window fast approaching, the Toffees must act with urgency to get the England international in the Evertonian colours before it is too late.
Failure to bolster light areas in attack could be detrimental to the north west side and could see them languishing near the bottom of the Premier League table.
The new stadium excitement and the feel good feeling under Moyes from last year could be about to evaporate if they fail to get deals across the line for Grealish and also Dibling.
