Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye wasted no time in responding after a fresh update emerged on the club’s pursuit of Manchester City winger Jack Grealish.
It’s been a summer of major change for the Toffees, with David Moyes overseeing his first transfer window since returning to the club.
Everton have signed the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and striker Thierno Barry, who have already joined the squad, while the club are now pushing ahead in negotiations to sign Grealish from City.
A fresh significant update on the Grealish pursuit caught the attention of Gueye, who was quick to react as the Toffees edge closer to a potential deal.

Fabrizio Romano reported on 11 August that Everton have agreed a deal to sign Grealish on loan, with the move including an option to buy worth £50million.
He added that there is a “verbal agreement in place” for the transfer, and that “Grealish accepted Everton” due to the opportunity for regular game time and the club’s ambitious project under Moyes.

Football Insider revealed that Grealish’s wages were initially seen as a potential stumbling block for Everton, but it appears the two parties have now reached a compromise, paving the way for the winger’s switch to Merseyside.
The 29-year-old started just seven league matches last season, and his omission from the Club World Cup squad only fuelled speculation over a possible exit this summer.
Football Insider exclusively reported that Grealish has privately told friends he does not expect to be at Manchester City next season and feels he has been “frozen out” by Pep Guardiola, a situation that now seems to be leading to his departure.

With the Grealish deal agreed, Everton’s efforts to sign Tyler Dibling appear to have stalled.
The Toffees had been in talks with Southampton but have been unable to agree a fee for the youngster, and reports now suggest that Everton have moved on from a deal for Dibling.
They have already seen two bids worth £45million rejected, and the club are unwilling to increase their offer further.
