Everton could be set to agree a deal worth £60million after taking advantage of a major loophole.
The Toffees are preparing for the upcoming Premier League season, which will be their first in their brand new stadium.
Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, David Moyes has made a number of additions to his ranks, bringing in the likes of Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, and Adam Aznou.
Off the pitch, the Merseyside club could be set to complete a major deal which would help their Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) situation.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that his old side can sell their women’s team to themselves, and make £60m from it.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Everton can take advantage of the “Chelsea loophole” and value their women’s side at a higher amount, and then sell it back to the main company controlling the club.
Last year, Todd Boehly was the first to utilise this method to avoid PSR sanctions, with Aston Villa replicating the strategy back in June.
Wyness added that the Everton women’s side could even be valued at more than £60m, as they now have Goodison Park as their home stadium.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “It’s basically following through now and taking advantage of what I would call the Chelsea loophole.
“This is when you value the women’s team at a higher amount, then transfer it back to the main company, and at Everton, Roundhouse Capital is holding the majority of the shares.
“My calculations would show that, if we followed the Chelsea model, that would mean that the Everton women would probably be valued right now at about £60m, possibly more.
If they were transferred, that would give Everton another £60m of headroom in terms of the PSR situation.
“It may even be more than that because when you look at it, Everton women have now got Goodison as their home stadium, which is fantastic.
So that makes it a very attractive investment if you believe in women’s football and the valuations that are being bandied around.”
Everton women will play at Goodison Park next season
Meanwhile, Everton are reportedly among a number of clubs preparing to swoop in with a move for Hayden Hackney after his prospective £20million move to Ipswich collapsed.
That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the 23-year-old is keen to take the step up to Premier League football.
Man United, Tottenham and Crystal Palace are also believed to be keeping a close eye on the situation and have been long-term admirers of the midfielder.
Brown told Football Insider on 17 July that Everton want to sign a new midfielder alongside two wingers, a full-back and a striker before the window closes.
