Everton could now be in line to re-sign Jack Harrison for the third time in the coming weeks as Leeds United look to have made a decision on his future at Elland Road.
Harrison has spent the last two seasons out on loan at the Toffees, notching five goals and four assists in 73 appearances across his separate spells.
The 28-year-old is disliked by the majority of Leeds‘ fanbase for the manner in which he left the club two years ago following their relegation to the Championship, but has still been reintegrated into Daniel Farke’s squad throughout pre-season so far.

Football Insider revealed last month that Everton were mulling over whether to reignite their interest in signing Harrison despite opting against a permanent deal when his loan spell ended, with his bridges believed to be burned at Elland Road.
Former West Ham scout and Moyes ally Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Moyes did not rate Harrison as part of his plans for the future at Everton, but with the Toffees seemingly struggling to sign other key targets in his position, the winger could represent a bargain option as he nears a Leeds exit.
The Athletic (7 August) have reported that Liverpool youngster Ben Doak is a player that Leeds have expressed interest in signing this summer, with Farke looking to add another winger to his squad.
If the Whites are able to match the Reds’ £20million asking price for Doak in the coming weeks, then Harrison’s Elland Road career will surely be over with game-time set to be at a premium.

The Scotsman’s arrival would see him, Wilfried Gnonto, Daniel James and Largie Ramazani each ahead of Harrison in the pecking order for minutes in the Premier League, all of whom have impressed at the club recently and will surely be given ample chances to shine.

Harrison is already on the periphery under Farke, and is currently unable to prove his worth to his squad with an adductor injury that ruled him out of the Whites’ recent home friendly against Villarreal.
His issue is not a long-term one, however, and so Everton may well use Leeds’ Doak approach to seal themselves a cheap alternative to one of their main attacking targets, especially with the Toffees’ move for Jack Grealish now looking unlikely due to Man City’s hefty wage demands.
Despite Moyes initially not wanting Harrison back, the fact that he has warmed to the idea as time has passed shows that he believes there is a player in there for him to unlock, and despite a largely underwhelming time on Merseyside, the 28-year-old would surely be open to the move just to simply get away from Leeds.
Doak is being tracked by both West Ham and Wolves, right now, with a move away from Anfield possible in the coming weeks, so Leeds must make sure that they offer the best package for his services if they wish to get a deal done, and in turn, offload Harrison soon after.
Former scout Brown revealed to Football Insider in February that Doak has no long-term future at Liverpool, and he now looks to have been overtaken by another young winger in Arne Slot’s plans after Rio Ngumoha’s outstanding pre-season performances.
Leeds are yet to properly bolster their forward line this summer, despite one of their best players leaving at the end of last season as Manor Solomon returned to Spurs after his loan spell, and so Doak would be a wise addition after he displayed his lofty potential on loan at Middlesborough last term.
Whether they are able to get a deal done soon remains to be seen, but regardless of if they bring him in, the Whites need to get rid of Harrison in the next month, or a situation could develop where he is unsettling the squad harmony due to a likely lack of game-time.
