Everton could agree a cut-price deal that would see them sign Jack Grealish on a permanent basis.

On Tuesday (12 August), Grealish completed a loan switch to the Toffees from Manchester City, which will see him spend the 2025/26 campaign at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The 29-year-old fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola, which left him seeking a move away to get his career back on track.

With less than 12 months until the World Cup in North America, the England international will hope he can have a successful spell on Merseyside.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that his old side could agree a bargain deal that would see Grealish remain at the Toffees beyond the end of the season.

This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen CEO.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that due to his age, Everton will eventually be able to agree a deal for Grealish that is below the buy clause inserted in his loan contract.

The Toffees have the option to buy the winger permanently after his loan expires, with Man City setting the price at £50million currently.

Wyness added that he does think Grealish will join Everton on a long-term basis next summer.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I’m really, really excited about this move.

I really think he’s going to do well under David Moyes.

Moyes understands that Jack is really a football man, and I think he’ll perform very well at Everton.

“The new stadium, a sense of occasion, I think it will go well.

I don’t think that would ever come about.

Any deal that does come, and I think it will come, will be lower than that price.”

Meanwhile, Rangers are expecting to receive a number of offers for Hamza Igamane in the closing stages of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Glasgow giants were expecting a lot of interest in the 22-year-old this summer, but there has been no official bids for him so far.

Everton are one of the teams linked with Igamane, as they look to bolster their attacking ranks ahead of the upcoming campaign.

However, sources say that the interested clubs are waiting for the Moroccan’s asking price to drop before making any formal approaches.
