The Gunners losing Kai Havertz to a knee injury was a major blow for Mikel Arteta and he won't have the German star back any time soon.

Earlier this summer the Italian lost Levi Colwill to an ACL injury that will likely rule him out for much of the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Chelsea's only other long-term absentee is midfielder Omari Kellyman, who suffered a re-occurrence of his hamstring injury earlier this year, having already missed most of 2024-25.

Oliver Glasner is not expected to welcome back any of his injured stars for this weekend's clash against Nottingham Forest, though Matheus Franca looks like the closest to returning.

His only long-term absentee is centre-back Lisandro Martinez, who could be out until the latter end of the year with an ACL injury he picked up in February.

Noussair Mazraoui has not featured yet this season after picking up a hamstring injury and is not likely to be back in time for Fulham, but could return for United's next game against Burnley on August 30.

A big boost is having goalkeeper Andre Onana ready for selection again after missing pre-season and the first game against Arsenal.

Midfielder Nicolas Dominguez will be out for the next few months with a serious knee injury he picked up in May that required surgery.

Nordi Mukiele, Jenson Seelt (groin/hip) and Arthur Masuaku are back in training and could feature against Burnley, but face late fitness tests.

Luke O'Nien (shoulder), Dennis Cirkin (wrist) and Ajibola Alese (shoulder) are not expected back until after the first international break next month.

His only absentee is Leon Chiwome, who is recovering from an ACL injury picked up in January and won't be expected back until late October at the earliest.
