Hundreds of thousands of Liverpool FC fans are expected to descend on the city to enjoy an incredible spectacle at the victory parade.

The celebrations will take over the city on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, when the parade bus will pass through the city.

Anticipation has been building for the day ever since it was confirmed that the team had secured a remarkable 20th top-flight title win.

Supporters are expected to fill the streets, alongside countless others watching from their homes, eager to see the Premier League trophy procession.

With so many people set to attend, Liverpool Council has issued some guidance to parents ahead of the event.

Those bringing children with them to enjoy the atmosphere have been strongly advised to do one thing before attending the celebrations.

A Liverpool City Council spokesperson said: "We’re asking parents/carers/guardians to take a photo of children before attending the parade.

"Should you be separated, this will help identify them quickly.

Stewards will also be distributing wristbands on which you can write the number of a responsible adult and attach it to a child/vulnerable person.

"If you lose a youngster during the parade, please alert your nearest steward or member of Merseyside Police immediately."

The victory parade route will start at Allerton Maze and will travel northbound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and the Rocket flyover.
