Alexander Isak has been warned that he could be continually fined until he comes off at strike at Newcastle by a former Liverpool star.
Isak remains a Newcastle player as it stands, but looks to have no future at the club as he tries to force a move to Liverpool from St James’ Park.
The Swedish international striker has shone for the Magpies in the last few years, with 23 goals and six assists last season to fire them to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League and glory in the Carabao Cup.

It was reported in mid-July that Liverpool had made contact with Newcastle to gauge their willingness to sell Isak this summer, and he has made it clear that he wants to make the move to Anfield, but the Reds are yet to offer a big enough bid for the Magpies to sanction his sale.
Liverpool’s first bid for Isak was rejected by Newcastle, who were unwilling to let him go for a package totalling £120million, but he still wants away and is currently training away from his teammates.
Isak is now on strike at Newcastle and will seemingly not be playing for the club at any point in the near future, even though there is still yet to be a breakthrough in his transfer saga.
Former Liverpool and Scotland midfielder, Don Hutchison, took to X on Thursday (14 August) to tell the Magpies what to do with the Swedish international if he continues to refuse to play, saying: “Surely Newcastle can fine him 2 weeks wages and give it to local charity for ‘breach of contract’ Then just keep fining him.
Believe me that would make A Isak sit up and think………”

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider on Tuesday (12 August) that Isak risks breaching his contract terms at Newcastle by not playing or training with his teammates, but it remains to be seen if the club are set to go down the legal route anytime soon.
Football Insider verdict
Newcastle’s recent successes under Howe have been headed by the firepower of their Swedish international striker, who has netted over 20 goals in each of his previous two league campaigns.
Isak has understandably been untouchable in the transfer market as far as Newcastle are concerned this summer, but any bid that reaches £150m, considering the £63m [BBC] they spent to sign him in 2022, will surely now be accepted due to their circumstances.

Newcastle’s owners will not be bullied by Liverpool this summer, and even given that Isak is trying to force his way out of St James’ Park, they should only sell for what they feel is right rather than be lowballed by the Reds due to him being unsettled and refusing to play.
The Swede currently has three years left on his contract, so the Magpies do not have to sell him by any means this summer, but if a bid of £150m comes in, then only then should they should let him leave to fulfil his dreams on Merseyside.
