Ex-Liverpool star Andre Wisdom admits he should never have attended the party that saw him stabbed FOUR times.

The defender was embroiled in a shocking incident in June 2020 having been set on by a group of masked attackers, who had attempted to steal his watch.

Wisdom - then with Derby County - was brutally stabbed in the head, thigh, chest and buttocks.

He then somehow returned to action for Derby just three months later.

And despite making a full recovery, the now 32-year-old is still feeling the effects.

He added: "Doctors say I have severe nerve damage down my left side as a result of what happened.

“I was stabbed in my head and today I still get headaches.

I get dull aches, it's borderline pain."

Wisdom remained with Derby until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

And determined not to give up on his career, Wisdom has just penned a deal with FC United of Manchester.

Despite still having ambitions of taking to the pitch, Wisdom is just thankful that he’s alive.
